BIATRADER provides technology and education services only. This includes software development, white-box algorithm development based on rules defined by the client, market scanners, indicators, trading dashboards, API integration, VPS hosting and trading education. Nothing on this website or in our services is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, derivative or commodity.
02White-box algorithms only
We develop and supply white-box algorithms only. In a white-box algorithm the complete trading logic is defined or approved by the client, is fully disclosed to the client and can be replicated by the client. We do not offer black-box algorithms or strategies with undisclosed logic, and we do not sell ready-made strategies that claim to be profitable.
- The client decides the instruments, entry and exit rules, risk limits and when a strategy runs.
- The client receives a description of the logic coded into their system.
- The client is solely responsible for every trading decision, order and outcome.
03SEBI framework for retail algorithmic trading
Algorithmic trading by retail investors in India is governed by SEBI's framework for safer participation of retail investors in algorithmic trading (February 2025), as implemented by the stock exchanges and brokers. Under this framework, orders are routed through the client's own broker using broker-provided APIs, algorithms may need to be registered with the exchange through the broker and tagged with an exchange-issued identifier, and controls such as static IP whitelisting may apply.
The client is responsible for ensuring that their broker permits the use of their strategy and that all applicable registration, approval and compliance requirements are met before trading live. BIATRADER does not place trades on its own account for clients and does not hold client funds or securities.
04Risk of trading
Investments and trading in the securities market are subject to market risks. Trading in derivatives (futures and options) and commodities carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You may lose all or more than your initial capital.
According to SEBI's study of equity derivatives (F&O) trading, 91% of individual traders incurred net losses in FY 2024–25. Please read all related documents carefully and consider your financial situation before trading.
05No guarantee of results
Automation executes rules consistently; it does not guarantee profits or prevent losses. Backtested, simulated or historical results are not indicative of future performance. Charts, prices, signals, P&L figures and dashboards shown on this website are simulated illustrations and not real trading results.
06Technology risks
Automated systems depend on internet connectivity, broker APIs, exchange systems, data feeds, servers and software, any of which can fail, slow down or behave unexpectedly. This can lead to missed, delayed, duplicated or incorrectly priced orders and slippage. Clients must monitor their systems and positions and keep the ability to intervene manually.
